Here at Channel we are very lucky to use locally produced Fatyak Kayaks. We use their sit on top kayaks at both our venues and we love that they come in such a range of colours!
Fatyak Kayaks sell sit on top kayaks, fishing kayaks, bodyboards and SUP’s. They have a wide range of boats and boards suitable for children, adults, anglers and the rental market. All their products have a 3 year warranty and are designed and manufactured in the UK, using high quality rotational moulding at our factory in Williton, Somerset. Our focus is on family fun, adventure and value for money for our customers. Find out more at our website here.
Looking to buy one? Why not come and try it out first on one of our Give it a Go Kayaking sessions. 1 hour on the water with a qualified instructor for £15. You can ask all the questions you want and try it yourself.
We are very pleased to also be partnered with another local brand Miles Tea & Coffee.
‘Working with Channel we are able to give our brand the needed personality, by making perfect moments happen by the coast in the West Country with Miles products. We support Channel Events throughout the year with product and samples for their event participants, giving them that warming moment at the end of their adventure. We also supply prizes and products for ‘The Miles Tea Stop’ which raises money for one of our chosen charities ‘CareMoor’. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come.’
– Sam Burton, Marketing Manager at Miles Tea & Coffee
The Beach Hotel
We are very proud to work closely with The Beach Hotel. From the moment you arrive, the sea air and rugged coastline remind you that nature is on your doorstep. But inside, every part of the hotel – from the bedrooms to the Beach Cafe – has been created to bring you the best in contemporary comfort.
They are a charity. In November 2013 the iconic Beach Hotel was purchased by YMCA Somerset Coast Group, who saw the old hotel as an opportunity to restore the heart of a community.
Today, they are fully committed to helping young people in our community to shine. They offer apprenticeships, training and support to develop the talent in their kitchens and hospitality services. Many of their apprentices go on to become full time additions to their energetic and professional staff team.
Join them at The Beach Hotel for a luxury stay, contemporary cuisine, a wonderful location and, as a bonus, know that every penny you spend here goes back to good stuff.
Why did no-one tell me about this?” is the most likely reaction from first-time visitors to Exmoor National Park. From its dramatically rocky coastline to its wild high moors, shaded valleys, crystal clear rivers and ancient forests Exmoor is an unexpected treat. Stroll along age-old country lanes or mountain bike down exhilaratingly steep trails. Picnic overlooking the ocean or climb to the highest spot in Somerset. Spot ponies on the high moors and otters in the rivers. There are picturesque villages, great little tea rooms and some fabulous inns and restaurants serving an array of local Exmoor produce.
