Location: The Adventure Centre, Minehead
Hours: 15 hours per week in term time, 37.5 hours per week in school holidays. Will include weekend work.
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Contract: Seasonal (Provisionsal dates, 14th May – 31st August)
We are currently recruiting a Centre Assistant for The Adventure Centre in Minehead. The Centre Assistant role is a vital one and carries responsibility for looking after our customers’ needs, making sure they have a great time with us and working as an administrator as required.
You have modern skills in ICT, communication, literacy and numeracy. You have excellent customer service skills and a naturally engaging, positive manner. You are highly organised with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multi task. You can work well within a team environment but are also highly motivated and can work effectively with minimal supervision. You relish a challenge, have an appetite to learn and constantly strive to improve. You are committed to the values underpinning what we do, and you are passionate about Outdoor Learning.
The Channel Group comprises Channel Training Ltd, Channel Adventure Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary) and Channel Events (a division). Channel Training Ltd offers Apprenticeships and government funded training in the outdoor sector as well as personal and professional development courses. A full range of adventurous activities is offered by Channel Adventure Ltd. The Channel Events brand identifies our events and makes up the third division of the group.
